The big contest.....

OK people its time to see what you got. Show me a picture of your sweetest ride or just tell me about it. Pictures are nicer to have but what ever you wanna brag about is fine with me. So lets see who's got the gusto and the winner will be announced next week. And the lucky winner will also get a featured spot in my next blog posting. Take it easy and lets see some muscle.

Firday Friday Fridays' monster trucks were not so great!

This last Friday and Saturday night the Monster Slam amp tour came to lacrosse Wisconsin. For the last 18 years i have been going to the monster truck shows religiously, a tradition that was first started when my late uncle who took me to my first show when I was 3. Now I'm not being harsh, over the years i have seen some great shows and some great trucks. But this year things were different, The once amazing,high flying, Adrenalin packed show was dulled down to almost tears. The popular and over advertised motocross and quad racing consisted of three motor cycles and two four wheelers duking it out on a poorly designed course. Even the tough trucks were restrained do to the layout of the track. But at the end of the night there were monster trucks doing what they do and i even witnessed one crashing (which i caught on video), but hen all is said and done it may be the worst show that I've seen there so far, but i am still looking forward to next year.

Ice on the roads = big headach

Sorry about not posting yesterday everybody. It seems once the roads get a little bit bad everyone instantly runs for the title of worst driver in lacrosse county. Yesterday i was greated with seven cars that had damaged rims and tires, I am still thinking that they were trying to be like Bo and Luke Duke and must of tried jumping somthing. Acutally i saw one person jump a curve and then come immediently into the shop. But to keep myself in a better mood i had a running joke all day with my customers, (hope you were not one of them) Every customer that came in and had a noticable flat tire i walked up to and said that they were here for a oil change. I thought it was realy funny but i dont think they got it. This one lady drove on her flat tire (so flat that it was sideways on the rim. I will have pics next week.)for three miles before comming to the shop. By the time she got there the tire was smoking........ Just another day in paradise. I think we all need somthing to cheer us up so here is some mehym that can be appericated by all my fellow gear heads.

Ford Vs. Chevy

Today i ask you the ultimate question. What kind of person are you ? Are you a fan of the blue oval (ford) or the bow tie (Chevy)? I think that wars may have actually been started because of this very question. Personally i am a BIG fan of the blue oval, I currently drive a 2006 F150 with a 5.4 liter v8. But i also may be just a little bit bi est, because of being a mechanic i always come home covered in either Chevy or Dodge. I am also going to post a couple of videos showing both sides to the Ford vs. Chevy war so please enjoy and tell me what you think.

Personal Bio of the manic mechanic

Hello everyone, you can call me stetzer. I created this blog as a school assignment but i believe that this blog can not only help me but all of you to. I am a auto mechanic in Lacrosse Wisconsin who loves his job but also hates it. Due to the slowing economy i have not seen as many cars in the shop as i used to, so when at work i have alot of down time to explore in more depth the inner workings of every make and model from the Ford F150 to the Geo Metro. At this blog i will ask my viewers to help me diagnose some problems I've encountered, and I will also be having a little section i like to call the sweet ride of the week.
